Online PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL GROUPS

Sometimes You Don't Need More Insight. You Need a Different Way to Work With What You Already Know.

You may already understand the pattern. You know you're overthinking. You know you need better boundaries. You know the way you talk to yourself isn't helping. You know burnout has taken more from your life than you want to admit.

Knowing isn't always the hard part.

The Red Door's focused psychoeducational groups give busy-brained, high-achieving women a structured place to understand these patterns more deeply, learn new ways of responding, and practice them alongside other women who understand the pressure of having a brain that's always working.

Created and led by Emily MacNiven, LPC, each group is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT, pronounced “act”) and designed around one specific place where insight alone hasn't been enough.

YOU PROBABLY ALREADY KNOW A LOT about your mental health…

But Understanding the Pattern and Responding Differently Inside It Are Two Different Things.

  • You can know you need to tolerate uncertainty and still find yourself looking for reassurance.

  • You can understand boundaries and still immediately say yes.

  • You can believe your worth isn't determined by your body and still get pulled into self-criticism.

  • You can recognize that productivity isn't the same as purpose and still have no idea who you are when you're not accomplishing something.

That's the space these groups were designed for.

They're focused, structured learning experiences where we'll explore one particular pattern, understand what keeps reinforcing it, and experiment with different ways of responding when it shows up in real life.

Less “here's more information you should already know.” More “what happens when we actually practice this?”

Find Your Group

What's Taking Up Too Much Space in Your Life Right Now?

You don't need to figure out which therapeutic approach you need.

Start with the pattern you want to change.

PERMISSION TO BE UNCERTAIN

When your brain won't stop looking for certainty.

For women caught in overthinking, doubt, intrusive thoughts, reassurance-seeking, checking, mental reviewing, or the exhausting pressure to finally know for sure.

Practice making room for uncertainty without letting the search for certainty run your life.

VOICE WITHOUT APOLOGY

When keeping the peace keeps costing you yourself.

For women who struggle with boundaries, people-pleasing, overexplaining, relationship anxiety, guilt, or feeling responsible for everyone else's emotions.

Practice expressing what you need without making someone else's comfort the automatic measure of whether you did something wrong.

BEYOND PRODUCTIVITY

When you've gotten so good at functioning that you've lost touch with feeling alive.

For burnout-prone women who have spent years producing, caregiving, achieving, managing, and carrying responsibility—and aren't quite sure who they are outside of all that doing.

Reconnect with creativity, meaning, curiosity, and the parts of yourself productivity asked you to put aside.

NOT ANOTHER THING TO MASTER

You Don't Need to Get an A+ in Personal Growth.

These groups aren't designed to give you another stack of information, another self-improvement checklist, or another set of expectations to perform perfectly.

They're designed to help you slow the pattern down enough to notice it.

  • What's my mind doing?

  • What am I feeling pulled to do next?

  • What discomfort am I trying to get away from?

  • What matters to me here?

  • What might responding differently look like?

Grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we'll use discussion, psychoeducation, reflection, experiential exercises, and real-life experimentation to build greater awareness and flexibility around the specific pattern your group is exploring.

You don't have to master the framework.
You get to practice applying it.

FOR COLORADO EDUCATORS

Professional Development That Supports the Professional, Too.

All Red Door psychoeducational groups are eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Colorado educators.Choose the group that speaks to what you need right now. Because professional development doesn't always have to be about becoming better at taking care of everyone else.

Sometimes it can support the person doing all that caring, too.

CEU requirements and participation details are provided on each group's page.

YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHOSE BRAIN DOES THIS

There's Something Different About Learning Alongside People Who Get the Pattern.

Overthinking, people-pleasing, self-criticism, perfectionism, and burnout can feel intensely personal.

And yet, many of the women sitting beside you may recognize versions of the same internal negotiations:

  • Was that boundary too much?

  • What if I'm making the wrong decision?

  • Should I be doing more?

  • Why can't I just let this go?

  • Why do I understand this intellectually and still keep doing it?

A group creates an opportunity to learn not only from the material, but from hearing different perspectives, noticing shared patterns, and practicing in community rather than trying to figure everything out alone.

The Red Door's groups are psychoeducational experiences rather than psychotherapy groups.

They are designed to provide education, structured reflection, experiential practice, and opportunities for discussion around a focused topic.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Focused. Educational. Experiential. Not Group Therapy.

Participation in a group does not establish an individual therapist-client relationship with Emily or replace individualized mental health treatment when that level of support is needed.

Each group's page includes its specific format, schedule, cost, eligibility requirements, and what you can expect from participating.

MORE THAN ONE SOUND LIKE YOU?

Start With What's Creating the Most Friction Right Now.

You may recognize yourself in more than one group. That's not unusual.

People-pleasing can collide with burnout. Overthinking can show up in relationships. Perfectionism can influence how you relate to your body. Difficulty tolerating uncertainty can make boundaries feel even harder.

You don't need to find the group that explains everything.

Choose the pattern you'd most like to understand and practice responding to differently right now.

Logistics

Specific schedules, pricing, duration, and participation details vary by group. Explore the individual group pages for current offerings.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORK ON EVERYTHING AT ONCE.

You don't need another complete overhaul of yourself.
Start somewhere specific.

Choose the group that speaks most clearly to what's taking up too much space right now, and see what becomes possible when you stop trying to think your way through it alone.
