Individual Online Therapy for Busy-Brained, High-Achieving Women throughout Colorado

You Don't Need to Become Less Driven.

You Need a Way to Stop Losing Yourself in the Process.

You may be capable, self-aware, and exceptionally good at getting through hard things. But when your mind never stops, everything feels like your responsibility, and holding it all together is costing you more than anyone realizes; something needs to change.

YOU'RE GETTING THROUGH IT

But functioning isn't the same thing as feeling well.

Maybe you're the person everyone counts on.

You anticipate what needs to happen next. You solve problems. You care deeply. You hold yourself to high standards. And when life gets difficult, you've learned how to push through.

From the outside, you may look like you're handling everything beautifully.

Inside, it may feel very different.

You might be:

  • Mentally rehearsing, analyzing, worrying, or replaying conversations long after everyone else has moved on.

  • Saying yes because disappointing someone feels worse than overextending yourself.

  • Feeling exhausted but strangely unable to slow down.

  • Taking responsibility for things that aren't entirely yours to carry.

  • Constantly trying to improve, fix, organize, prepare, or get ahead enough to finally feel okay.

  • Wondering why knowing exactly what you should do hasn't made actually doing it any easier.

You don't need another person pointing out that you're overwhelmed.

You need somewhere to understand why these patterns keep taking over, and learn how to respond differently when they do.

I Understand What It's Like to Work Inside Systems That Reward Running on Empty.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a teacher, school counselor, and principal. Across more than 20 years in helping professions, I've seen how easily competence, caring, responsibility, and achievement can become tangled with over-functioning, perfectionism, guilt, and chronic stress.

That's part of why I created The Red Door.

I work especially well with women who are highly self-aware and don't necessarily need someone to explain that they need boundaries, rest, self-compassion, or better ways of managing stress.

You probably already know a lot about your mental health.

Our work is about closing the gap between what you understand intellectually and what you're actually able to do when anxiety, uncertainty, guilt, pressure, relationships, and real life enter the room.

WHY WORK WITH ME

WHAT OUR WORK LOOKS LIKE

This Isn't About Spending Years Talking About Your Week.

Therapy with me is active, collaborative, practical, and sometimes appropriately challenging.

We'll make space for what you're experiencing while also paying attention to what happens when difficult thoughts, emotions, sensations, expectations, and uncertainty show up in real time.

That might mean noticing an urge to immediately problem-solve. Sitting with uncertainty instead of resolving it. Recognizing when guilt is making a decision for you. Paying attention to what your body does when you consider setting a boundary. Or experimenting with a different response to a pattern you've repeated hundreds of times.

The goal isn't to eliminate uncomfortable thoughts and feelings.

It's to help you become more flexible in how you respond to them—so fear, pressure, perfectionism, guilt, or someone else's expectations don't automatically get to decide what happens next.

WHAT WE'RE WORKING TOWARD

Maybe you’ve been to therapy before. Maybe it gave you some insight or offered space to vent, but it didn’t quite stick. You’re still feeling like you’re carrying too much, thinking too hard, or doing everything “right” and still wondering why it doesn’t feel better. When life feels nonstop and heavy, you’re not just looking for someone to listen, you want something that actually helps you move forward.

Depending on what brings you to therapy, our work might include helping you practice:

A Life That Doesn't Require You to Abandon Yourself to Keep It Running.

Making room for uncertainty
without endlessly analyzing, checking, reassuring, or trying to think your way into feeling safe.

Setting boundaries
while making room for the guilt or discomfort that sometimes comes with disappointing someone.

Resting before you've earned it
instead of treating exhaustion as proof that you've finally done enough.

Responding to your inner critic differently
without needing to win every argument your brain starts.

Recognizing what is—and isn't—yours to carry
in your work, family, and relationships.

Making values-based decisions
without waiting until you're completely certain you've chosen the “right” one.

Being present for your actual life
instead of mentally living inside the next problem that needs solving.

You don't have to stop caring deeply.

We're working toward helping you care without continually disappearing from your own life.

MY APPROACH

Insight Matters. But Insight Alone Doesn't Always Change What Happens Next.

My work is grounded primarily in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and incorporates somatic, experiential, and behaviorally informed approaches based on your needs.

ACT helps us notice the ways we become entangled with thoughts, emotions, rules, expectations, and attempts to control discomfort—and build greater psychological flexibility so you can respond more intentionally.

Rather than measuring progress by whether difficult thoughts or emotions disappear, we're interested in something bigger:

Can you make room for what's difficult and still move toward the life you want to be living?

I commonly work with women navigating:

THE DETAILS

Individual therapy with me is offered online to clients throughout Colorado, making it easier to fit meaningful support into an already full life without adding a commute or another place you need to be.

Therapy Has to Work in Your Real Life, Too.

Individual Therapy

  • 60-75 minute online sessions

  • Private Pay: $176 per session

  • I am also an in-network provider with Aetna and UnitedHealthcare. Your specific benefits, deductible, copay, or coinsurance will depend on your individual plan.

When I See Clients

I offer individual therapy appointments during the daytime, including options before work, during the workday, and around the lunch hour.

If you're used to assuming therapy has to happen after work, it may be worth seeing whether one of these options can fit into your day.

Not Sure Whether We're a Fit?

That's exactly what the complimentary 20-minute consultation is for.

We'll talk briefly about what is bringing you to therapy, what you're hoping might be different, and whether my approach and availability seem like a good match for what you need.

If we decide to work together, we'll talk through the next steps from there.

You Don't Have to Wait Until You're Falling Apart to Want Something Different.

You can be capable and exhausted.
Successful and overwhelmed.
Deeply grateful for your life and still know that the way you've been moving through it isn't sustainable.

You don't need to have the perfect words for what's happening or know exactly what needs to change. That's something we can begin figuring out together.
