Support designed to help change actually stick.

THE RED DOOR APPROACH

You probably don't need more information. You need support turning what you already know into something you can actually live.

You can understand your patterns, know your boundaries, recognize when you're overwhelmed, and still find yourself falling back into familiar ways of coping when life gets busy.

At The Red Door, we don't see that as a lack of insight or motivation. Meaningful change takes practice. It takes opportunities to notice what's happening, try something different, get support, and return to what matters when old patterns inevitably show up again.

That's why The Red Door offers more than one way to do the work.

Three ways to move toward meaningful change.

Different seasons call for different kinds of support.

The Red Door offers three ways to engage with this work, each designed to help you move from understanding your patterns toward practicing something different.

WHY THE RED DOOR WORKS THIS WAY

Insight matters. But insight alone rarely creates lasting change.

You can read the books, listen to the podcasts, save the posts, talk about the pattern in therapy, and genuinely understand what needs to change.

And then life speeds up.

Stress gets louder. Your calendar fills. Someone needs something from you. The familiar response happens before you've even had time to remember the beautifully insightful thing you figured out last Tuesday.

At The Red Door, we believe meaningful change happens through repeated opportunities to notice, practice, receive support, and return.

That's why our approach combines deeper therapeutic work with structured opportunities for learning, connection, reflection, and real-life practice.

THE DISCOVER + GROW + INTEGRATE™ FRAMEWORK

Meaningful change isn't linear. Neither is our approach.

You don't graduate from one phase and permanently move on to the next. You cycle through them as life changes, new challenges emerge, and your understanding deepens.

Every Red Door offering has a place within this framework.

DISCOVER
Notice + Understand

Build awareness of the patterns shaping how you respond. Learn, reflect, get curious, and make sense of what has been happening.

GROW
Practice + Get Support

Experiment with different ways of responding. Practice skills, receive feedback, ask questions, and learn alongside supportive people.

INTEGRATE
Live + Return

Carry what you're learning into ordinary life. Notice when old patterns return, reconnect with what matters, adjust, and practice again.

THE FIVE PRECIOUS RESOURCES

Your well-being isn't one thing.

Chronic stress rarely stays neatly contained in one part of life. Over time, it can begin drawing from five resources that shape how supported, grounded, and available you feel:

Self. Time. Relationships. Health. Money.

We call these the Five Precious Resources because they are finite, interconnected, and worth paying attention to before they are completely depleted.

Throughout The Red Door, these resources give us another way to ask a more useful question than “How do I get better at handling everything?”

What is this season of my life asking me to protect, restore, or use differently?

GROUNDED IN ACCEPTANCE & COMMITMENT THERAPY

The goal isn't to feel good all the time. It's to build a life you can stay present for.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT, pronounced “act”) is one of the primary foundations of The Red Door Approach.

Rather than waiting for difficult thoughts, feelings, uncertainty, or stress to disappear before you begin living differently, ACT helps you build psychological flexibility: the ability to notice what is happening internally, make room for difficult experiences, reconnect with what matters, and choose your next move more intentionally.

At The Red Door, you'll often hear this described as making a Toward Move—a small action that moves you closer to the person you want to be or the life you want to build, even when your busy brain has plenty to say about it.

ACT informs our work across therapy, groups, and Wellness Solutions, while each offering uses it differently depending on its purpose and scope.

POCKET WELLNESS

Support has to fit into the life you're actually living.

You shouldn't need a free afternoon, a perfectly regulated nervous system, and seventeen uninterrupted minutes to take care of yourself.

Pocket Wellness is our approach to making meaningful support smaller, more accessible, and easier to return to in the middle of real life.

Think brief resets. Reflection prompts. A walk at lunch. A five-minute practice between meetings. A conversation that helps you reconnect with what matters before moving into the rest of your day.

Small doesn't mean insignificant. Repeated small moments can become the places where integration actually happens.
